This standard, adopted by the IPPC (International Plant Protection Convention) and the FAO, requires that all raw wood packaging be treated at a temperature of at least 57°C for 30 minutes to eliminate any pests and ensure compliance with phytosanitary regulations.
The heat treatment (HT)is critical for the protection of international shipments, preventing the spread of insect infestations.
After treatment, each product is marked with the IPPC/FAO logo, certifying conformity to the standards required for export.
